Low Fidelity, High Anxiety

"Low Fidelity, High Anxiety" LP

Released November 2nd, 2024

SomeJerk's third album is a collection of 19 tracks spanning from psychedelic breaks to sludged out ambient and post vaporwave.

"More of a schizophrenic mixtape than a cohesive album to some, it's more of a personal collage of memories encapsulated in the samples that I stuck together. I can remember where I was and how I felt when the sounds were captured, hearing them mashed together and removed from their original recordings and creations - some as old as 10 years - has been almost therapeutic. It's nice to know these ideas are finally out of my head. And yes...it's supposed to sound that way."

Black Hole

"Black Hole"

Released September 27, 2024

When the bass is heavy enough, it can collapse the fabric of reality onto itself, forming a black hole. With this tribal halftime drum and bass tune from label boss SomeJerk has done just that. Inverting the energy of a dead dancefloor into a kinetic vortex of syncopated dark matter.

"Summer Jams 2" EP

Released July 20, 2022

Smooth Oscillator is an alias for SomeJerk. As a child, naptimes often consisted of the soundtrack to the Weather Channel. In these dream states, infused with woozy smooth jazz and surreal visual surroundings, a separate voice was being raised from a distance.

At times leaning towards downtempo and triphop vibes, "Summer Jams 2" delivers Golden era 90's boom bap drums meet with booming basslines, trippy keyboards and sporadic chunks of rap lyrics scattered about like hiphop bacon bits.

"Missing Consciousness"

Released January 5, 2022

Banging and clanging as always, SomJerk laces frantic breakbeats with booming 808 kick drums as a vocal sample asks the big questions.

What is life without consciousness? If you are asleep are you truly alive, or are you living in another world when you dream? There are many questions to be answered when it comes to consciousness and whether we have any control in a potentially pre-deterministic universe.

Available at drum and bass tempo with the vocal, or instrumental, as well as a 140BPM edition also with vocals or without.
